4 images minimum
Frontal lighting, side lighting, back lighting, edge lighting (not rim lighting).
Bracket the images and try to complete all these on the same occasion.

Back lighting 800 ISO F4 1/1600 |
Side lighting 200 ISO f8 1/500s
Back lighting 200 ISO, f5.5, 1/125s (This was over exposed as I should have had a faster shutter speed so I've had to work quite hard in Lightroom to make it work but I quite like the effect in the end - I am aware the area around the men is totally blown!) |
Edge lighting 200 ISO, f8, 1/320s

Edge/Back I had just come out of the Science Museum here and my settings were totally wrong! But perhaps that's why we can see her face at all.... ISO 500 F8 1/250s |
Frontal light 200 ISO F6.4 1/500s |
Frontal 250 ISO f2.8 1/1600 (I had prior to taking this been trying to see if I could do something close up with the bricks and clearly didn't get round to changing my aperture before taking this one as I would have thought I'd want to be at at least f5.6 for this...) |
